The Music Ministry of Kingswood United Methodist Church is a vital part of our worship services. Music has always held an important part in worshiping our Lord. We have a variety of ensembles that are a part of the worship service. The Chancel Choir, which practices from 7 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday Nights in the sanctuary, sings every Sunday during the 11 am service and every 1st Sunday at the 8:30 am Service. The Gateway Project Youth Choir led by Jimmy Jordan, which practices on Wednesday Nights at 6 in the Youth Room, leads the worship for both services every 3rd Sunday. The Amazing Grace Children’s Choir, and our Handbell Choirs also bless our services with their singing and ringing through the year. Every 3rd Sunday the children work with Miss Janean on music following Children’s Bread, in place of Children’s Church. The Laymen’s Quartet practices from 6:30 to 7 on Wednesday Nights in the sanctuary and performs throughout the year. The Keyboard Ensemble, consisting of 4 pianists, performs during Christmas as well as in the Summer.
Our Music Ministry would not be successful without the wonderful instrumentalists we have at Kingswood, organist Janean McCawley and pianist Danny Hall. We have many other talented musicians in our church who also help from time to time. We hope that you will consider being a part of the wonderful Music Ministry at Kingswood.
